Asalto Game Board

Circa 1820

  • Ivory

Developed from Fox & Geese in the 19th century, Asalto is a game where two officers defend a small but powerful fortress from attack by twenty-four rebels. Rebels could only move towards the fortress, but officers could move in any direction & had the ability to capture rebels. The rebels had to occupy the fortress or immobilise the officers; the officers had to capture enough rebels to make this impossible.
